It was such a treat for me to experience living in the snow. Being a desert girl I had only visited the snow on family snow outings. I loved the experience of seeing it snow....and snow....and snow. Seeing the Pine trees and the roof tops perfectly iced with the white stuff made me feel like I was living in a picture perfect post card. The carriage house looked like an adorable snow capped gingerbread house.
We got so much snow that our TV dish became covered in snow on the roof and the not so fun part of snow became a reality. With ladder and shovel in hand Papa climbed the snow covered roof to clear the snow while I stayed indoors and prayed for his safety. Thankfully, my prayers were answered!
